The Challenge

The Challenge
A high-performing aged care provider was frequently invited to apply for local Primary Health Network (PHN) funding but kept losing the competitive tenders, leaving their leadership baffled. Their internal approach was scattered, with different program delivery staff answering questions in isolation, resulting in duplicated, unsubstantiated claims despite having the data to prove their success.
The Solution
Grantful diagnosed the core issue: a disconnect between their strong operational performance and their ability to articulate it in a way that satisfies asse ssors. We implemented a structured, end-to-end process for designing and drafting responses, ensuring every claim was backed by evidence and aligned directly with the scoring criteria.
The Outcome
The turnaround was immediate and significant. Of the next nine applications submitted using this structured approach, the organisation won seven. This secured over $15 million in funding across critical aged care programs—including Care Finders, Home Care Packages, and Commonwealth Home Support—and enabled expansion into new regions and new primary health care providers.

The Challenge
A growing domestic and family violence charity was struggling to gain traction with NSW ClubGrants. Their in-house writer was daunted by the volume of applications required across multiple regions and lacked a clear strategy for navigating the specific nuances of the ClubGrants scheme. Yet they had witnessed similar services achieve funding success.
The Solution
Grantful implemented a mentoring program to build internal capability. We provided the strategic framework—guiding the team on how to identify local and regional priorities, determine appropriate ask amounts, and engage local clubs—while their writer drafted the applications. The Challenge
A charity supporting individuals post-incarceration had strong success with small and medium grants but needed to elevate its approach to engage strategic philanthropists. A time-sensitive EOI from a Top 10 Private Ancillary Fund—with a 3-week window - put their readiness to the test.
The Solution
Grantful was initially engaged by the client to overhaul their master content library and this project began tackling the high-stakes EOI. We developed a persuasive, evidence-informed narrative that was meticulously tailored to the fund's priorities and articulated within extremely tight word counts, successfully navigating both the EOI and the second-stage application.
The Outcome
The diligent, strategic approach was successful. The client was one of only 15 organisations funded from a pool of over 110 applicants, securing over $100,000.
